Hah, told you so – Obama Is An American Citizen!

Obama birth certificate

For those out there who are questioning the legitimacy of Barack Obama’s birth place, the birth certificate proves it once and for all – Obama was indeed born in the 50th state of United States, Hawaii.

What’s next? Obama is a friend of the KGB because of his recent visit to Russia or that he is a closet terrorist plotting the destruction of America? I think the latter is more Dick Cheney – check it out here.

US Army, Saddam Hussein Scam….

// July 31st, 2009 // 1 Comment » // Thoughts

I received this in the email (Subject:”GOOD OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU”) today from John England about $23.3M dollars found in Iraq. he insists that I keep this email a secret but being a blogger, I feel I have the obligation to post something this ridiculous and funny online: (Black – original email, red – my comments)

—————————————————————————————————————————————

Dear Sir,

I am John England (Would you trust a guy with the last name England?) ,an Army contractor attached to the US Military force in Iraq . I got your contact through a discreet search from the Internet (It’s called Google), The reason why I’m explaining my findings to you is to seek for your assistance to enable you contribute immensely to the actualization of my dream. (he’s getting to his point – looking for a fool to scam)

On the 8th day of January 2007, my group of 2 men and I were alerted on the need of some reconstruction works in Haifa Street , a long thoroughfare of high-rise buildings (didn’t the Americans level Iraq with intense bombing?) built and occupied by Saddam Hussein when he was alive here in Baghdad. Immediately we proceeded to the site and as we commence work to our utmost surprise we discovered an underground bunker in one of the buildings.(bunkers were everyone, and they were surprised to find this particular bunker…ok)

Upon investigation of the bunker  we discovered two boxes safely hidden and sealed, coded (The story is slowly turning into a mystery ala Da Vinci Code -ish), I told my men to open the boxes in order to find out the contents and when they were opened and the money counted, to our amazement the boxes contained USD $23.2M (I wonder how long did it take them to count all the money…$23.3M – counted with no money counting machine, in a warzone??)

I however instructed them to keep this in high secret so that we can have the money to our selves, they all agreed to the plan and we were going to get the money out of the country but first we had to hide the money in a safe and untraceable location. (I have a feeling some men shoved it up their glory hole… =P )

I am now in desperate need of a “Reliable and Trustworthy” person like you (hoping that you will be that fool) who would receive, secure and protect these boxes containing the US Dollars for me until  my assignment elapses here. We cannot leave the boxes here in Iraq for any reason since Iraq is getting unsafe and dangerous everyday(But it was safe enough for the bunker to be undiscovered previously – assuming there was a bunker fulled with money) . I assure and promise to give you 10% of this fund, however feel free to negotiate what you wish to have as your percentage in this deal so that I can immediately arrange on how to send it to your care. (This is a plea so that you can really be a fool and fall for this trap…)

Please assure me of keeping this confidential and topmost secret so that my job would not be jeopardized but protected. (If he loses his job, he will have no income and he will be in deep trouble….hahah, ok John England….I SHALL NOT TELL ANYONE BUT PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET)
Please Reply

My Sincere regards,
John England (really…John England? Where’s his buddy, Jackson America?)

I have actually received one of those Nigerian Prince Scam emails but I have deleted it. This time,  I just can’t let a funny email from “John England” be directed to my trash can without first sharing it with the public.

Bringing it back with Bourdain!

// July 26th, 2009 // No Comments » // Entertainment, Food

bourdain

The journey to gastronomy and culinary exploration should be handed over to our ultimate foodie, acclaimed chef and world traveler, Mr Anthony Bourdain. Watching the episode of No Reservation – London, one of the many great episodes that Anthony has made, I was given a glimpse of England that many of us has been misunderstood for the longest time. Not just the beer drinking (ok, thats true) and fish and chip eating (ok, they still love their F&C) society, the English (not the language but the people, mind you) surprisingly has a great culinary tradition that was lost in time but is now enjoying a revival. Traditional dishes such as the blood cake, baked bone marrow and pig’s innards are being revived by English Chefs who have the passion of “bringing it back”, the term used by the butcher at the Smithfield Market.
One interesting highlight of the show was the tour of London’s SoHo, a chic and hip area similar to that of the village in NYC and it was once London’s vice center.
In the London episode, Anthony also traveled to Edinburgh, Scotland, to taste some fish and chips from Mermaid – Fish and Chip store. Other than the traditional fish and chips, Mermaid also serve some deep fried “mystery meat”. Then he headed off to Leith, the area where fresh seafood and produce can be savored alongside with a pint of Guinness, for breakfast!

If you are not watching Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservation, you don’t know what you are missing. What are you waiting for, hurry up and change your channel to the Travel Channel. No Reservation is aired on Mondays 9pm EST.

The red pill or the blue pill, when either one comes with side effects?

// July 26th, 2009 // No Comments » // Health

red-pill-or-blue-pill

The availability of prescription drugs has prolonged the health of many. It has given new hopes for people who are diagnosed with illness that can only be treated through doses of prescription drugs. But many prescription drugs do come with side effects, some that are minor while some that can be fatal.

Abilify, the drug used in the treatment of depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, seems like a wonder-drug for its ability to treat so many diseases. Don’t let the benefits fool you. Abilify, comes with many side effects that include:

(Taken from here)

Common Side Effects With Abilify

Abilify has been studied thoroughly in clinical trials. In these studies, the side effects that occur in a group of people taking the drug are documented and are then compared to side effects that occur in another group of people not taking the medicine. This way, it is possible to see what side effects occur, how often they appear, and how they compare to the group not taking the medicine.
In these studies, the most common Abilify side effects included:
  • Headaches — in up to 30 percent of people
  • Anxiety — up to 20 percent
  • Insomnia — up to 19 percent
  • Nausea — up to 16 percent
  • Constipation — up to 13 percent
  • Vomiting — up to 12 percent
  • Dizziness — up to 11 percent.
Some other common side effects (occurring in 2 percent to 10 percent of people) included:
  • Indigestion or heartburn
  • Drowsiness
  • Shakiness
  • Weight gain
  • Restlessness
  • Fatigue
  • Dry mouth
  • Joint pain
  • Throat pain
  • Blurred vision
  • Abdominal pain (stomach pain)
  • Pain
  • Cough
  • Nasal congestion
  • Increased salivation
  • Swelling or water retention in the arms, legs, or feet.

Side Effects of Abilify to Report

There are a number of side effects with Abilify that you should report to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
  • Signs of diabetes, such as:
    • High blood sugar
    • Increased thirst
    • Frequent urination
    • Extreme hunger (see Abilify and Diabetes)
  • Large or rapid weight gain
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • High blood pressure (hypertension)
  • Dizziness or fainting when going from a sitting or lying-down position to standing
  • Feelings of internal restlessness or jitteriness
  • Any abnormal muscle movements (these movements can become permanent if Abilify is not stopped quickly)
  • A painful erection of the penis that does not go away (priapism)
  • Signs or symptoms of neuroleptic malignant syndrome, which can include:
    • A high fever
    • Stiff muscles
    • Confusion
    • Irregular pulse or blood pressure
    • An increased heart rate (tachycardia)
    • Sweating
    • Irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias)
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, including:
    • Unexplained rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Unexplained swelling
    • Wheezing
    • Difficulty breathing or swallowing.

Rare Abilify Side Effects

Some side effects occur in less than 2 percent of people taking Abilify. Because these side effects are so uncommon, it is difficult to tell whether they are actually caused by the medication or something else.
These less common Abilify side effects include but are not limited to:
  • Anemia
  • Vertigo (a spinning sensation)
  • Tinnitus (ringing in the ears)
  • Low thyroid (hypothyroidism) or high thyroid (hyperthyroidism)
  • Gas
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • Canker sores
  • Gallstones
  • Yeast infections
  • Arthritis
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Kidney stones
  • Impotence, also known as erectile dysfunction or ED (see Abilify Sexual Side Effects)
  • An increased or decreased sex drive
  • Acne
  • Eczema
  • Hair loss (see Abilify and Hair Loss)
  • Varicose veins.

Despite all those possible side effects, Doctors have no ability to know whether or not their patients are allergic to Abilify. Therefore, it is still up to the patients to risk it by taking Abilify.

Hmmm…which one will i choose? Be free of depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia OR possibly get all the side effects from taking Abilify?

Have you read the warning and side effects on your prescription drugs lately? You should!

Speeding at 210mph on a 65mph highway….walk away with a $500 fine.

// July 24th, 2009 // 1 Comment » // News, cars

A driver of a Bugatti Veron was caught by speeding camera for breaking the 65 mph speed limit in California. The culprit was clocked at *drumroll* 210 mph and he was slapped with the maximum fine for speeding which was a $500 fine. I am surprised that he didn’t get anything more serious for doing more than 3 times the speed limit.

Forget the plane ticket to Germany where Autobahn is located. All you need is a Veron and $500 to pay the fine when they catch you. =)

Here’s a pic of the ticket:
